Bicester
Golf Club is set in 135 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, in
the M40 corridor. The course is complimented by 11 lakes strategically
placed around the course, these lakes help to provide a challenge
to every kind of player in the golf world.
The
18 hole course opens with the first hole which, with banking on the
right, bunkers and a lake on the left, tunnel you to the
B
shaped green with three pot bunkers and an undulating green surface.
Several
new look holes will impress all those who are re-visiting and all
new-comers. The two new additions to the course, the 14th and 15th holes are both tactical and need thought to negotiate. The two greens
and fairways are small and stand like islands among 6 of the courses
lakes. These new holes are some of the most challenging holes in
Oxfordshire golf.
The
course itself measures just under 6400yds with a par 72. It is an
easy walking course but don’t let this mislead you with regard
to the quality of the course. The course is complimented by an
imposing clubhouse which overlooks the fantastic 18th green.
The clubhouse sits as the ideal vantage point for Society Day
visitors to watch the golf as their day comes to an end.
